I have made a big move with the Atelier going to WordPress.com.   I hope you will enjoy the new added features that this will allow me to share with you.   This is a continuing learning experience so I hope you will make the move and stay with me in the Atelier…. it should be a fun  and expanding experience.

This week I have decided to focus on you guessed it, Basic Grey’s Scarlett’s Letter papers.  I really like these bold papers and yet found some extremely soft ones and think this will be a great series of three cards for the next few days.  So tag along in the Atelier and watch over my shoulder as I present three totally different looking cards.

This card features a wonderful soft palette of Close to Cocoa and the new Carmel metallic paper available at Flourishes, llc.  This line of metallics is so beautiful.  The Carmel color is a nice partner for the Close to Cocoa.  I also inccoperated the Flourished Words a set from Flourishes, llc as wel.  These gracious words really fit the paper without screaming a sentiment.  The gorgeous satin ribbon is also available at Flourishes, llc.  That touch gave the card a soft shine that worked beautifully with the other papers.  Satin is a look we will see in so many aspects of life this fall and winter season, just look at some of the magazines that feature clothing to start.

This card employs colors outside my normal comfort range, but I am pleased with the completed card.  I hope my friend enjoys it as well.

Thanks for visiting us in the new address and hope you will visit the Atelier often or better yet subscribe to get them in your email box!
