The “Who” at CHA

Well I promised  to talk about CHA, so if you want to know some of the in and outs, get a cup of tea while I chat away.

Before we get into that, I want to share a card I made for my group tonight.  We made two cards, this one that is CASED inspiration of Dee Jackson. damask-fantasy-floral-garden-clear-dee-jmc.jpg

All of the stamps are from Flourishes.  The flower is from Fantasy Floral Garden. Dee took one of the flowers in the set and stamped it four times, She colored, trimmed, and adhered them to a punched circle, then placed a nice large brad in the center….it  says WOW in a big way.  The top fold card is made of a clear vinyl (heavier than a transparency).     White cardstock was stamped with the new Damask stamp in Lavender Lace and is bordered with black cardstock.  I ran the lavender and white cardstock thru the Xyron with the glue side on the front of the card.  This adheres it to the vinyl.  The sentiment was stamped with Hybrid Palette Noir ink, allowed to dry, then the three brads were placed thru the vinyl and white layer cardstock.  I then attached the black border to the back of the white  cardstock….so no mechanics are visible.

Now how’s that for a timeless image, yet so today?

Now for some of the scoop on WHO was at CHA….

OK I am going to drop some names here (LOL)

Yes….The First Lady of Crafts herself…Carol Duval.  We went past her just chatting with some ladies..naturally I had to have a photo.

Yes, you are absolutely right…none other that Jane Seymour.  She was signing her new book there one day.  She is so very Beautiful!

We also took some great classes…and one of them was with Dee Grunig…her she is with me (she made me do it)!  LOLcha-dee-grunig.jpg

We also saw Tim Holtz in the Ranger booth, but his classes were full and I have not come across his picture yet….

OK, enough anyway on the BIG WHOs at CHA….tomorrow I will chat some more and share a little about others from our SCS world that we saw there as well.

Thanks for coming by today.
