Swing into Spring -Day Two

Today is the crux of this great release of our Swing into Spring…so here goes

We  have the right set in Swing Set.  Our newest artist Lauren Pope has created a wonderful set full of fun and versatility.  She has captured a fun memory we each have in our lives.  Each of us I am sure can remember fond time of a swing set, a swing hanging from an tree branch or even the swing on a porch.  We know the feel of the joy of pumping our legs in an effort to swing higher, or the times we pushed someone else, a friend or our small child on a swing.  I hope you will find just these kinds of memories as you go down the blog trail today and come Friday evening you will have a change to one of the first to purchase this neat set.

If you want a change to win this set just visit the Flourishes Newsletter by leaving today’s post and you could be our lucky winner.

Here is my card.  Your first look is at the card closed as I want to slowly reveal the rest of the card….enough taunting?????

OK…

I have used the largest image in the set, stamping it several times with Hybrid Palette Burnt Umber and Chartreuse.  I then colored the images using my Copics scribbling with two shades of green and then using Marianne Walker’s dirty rag technique to give my trees a very realistic look.  Then two shades of brown and the branches were colored in.  I then used my Copic Air brush system and colored the area around the trees and branches.  As you will see I repeated this several times.

Here is why I had to repeat it several times…….swing-set-release-day-get-well-open

This is a Z Fold card.  Open you can see the branches of the tree to the top and our lovely lady is getting back into the swing of things.  This was a fun card to make.

Take another look from the front of the closed card.swing-set-trees-very-close

From this angle you can see the front of the card and the back of the  center fold and the back of the card.  The inside of the card was created on one piece of white cardstock, being carefully laid out.  The front of the center fold was stamped on a separate piece of cardstock then colored.  All were cut and glued to the front and back of the center fold with Zip glue.

I have talked way to long…so now move on the to the blog trail and check out all of todays wonderful creations of the Senior DT.
