Release Week is Here

Hello Friends,  The weather outside maybe daunting, cold and grey, but here at Flourishes this week we have some wonderful sets to reveal that are light hearthed, sweet, and harken to the upcoming celebration of Valentines Day.

Today I made a romantic card using the new Hearts and Flowers set.  It’s several shades of pink with pearls and beautiful ribbon, all the things that speak to so many hearts.  It is all about life and love.  Yet is was easy peasy to make.

One of the things that made this card so easy was a new gift that arrived at my door during the Christmas Holidays.  I am the happy owner of the new Spellbinders Grand Calibur!  I have had several shoulder surgeries and using most die cutting machines is difficult for me.  I read the instructions, assembled the sandwich, and secured the Grand Calibur to the table ( a wonderful new aspect of this machine).  Then I started to turn the handle-yup no more hard cranking- and it seemed to not move-  just then my dh came thru the studio and I ask him to take a look.   He cranked with effortless ease and it slide through the Grand Calibur.  I could not believe it…such ease.  Wanting to make sure, I quickly decided to add another layer to my card and try it again all on my own.  This is the simplest machine to use.  I can’t thank Spellbinder enough for making this machine available.  It is a wonder.  This is sure to end up on many wish lists I am sure!

For my card:

   Hearts & Flowers stamp set,

 Ink: Memento black

Fairy Flauna (a yummy paper)

Ribbon from my stash.

Spellbinders: Big Scalloped Ovals SM; Labels Fifteen

Now I invite you to hop to the other designer blogs and see what they’ve created.
