September Day 2Release-Medallion Motiff

Becky Fleck is the illustrator of today’s Flourishes release.  This is an image that can go in so many directions as you will see from today’s creations by the FLLC Senior Design Team lineup.

Here is my take on the image.

This was truly the easiest card I have made in years.  I think I got a lot of bang out of this oldie but goldie technique–Pearl-Ex!

I stamped the image with Versamark and then dusted off my jar of Pearl Ex pigments – Interference Gold.  I have had this jar for many years.  The Pearl Ex was simply dry dusted onto the VersaMark image with an artist small flat brush.  I then brushed off the excess and then used a Swiffer sheet for any remaining.  I  trimmed the image and layered it with Gold Metallic Mirror paper ( worth the $$$) and Goldleaf  Cardstock.  The gold “lace” will soon be in the store.  This was just the touch it needed.  The layer was popped up with foam tape.  The small circle and sentiment came from the  A Gift For You  set.  They were stamped and dusted in the same manner as the image on the card.  I used a punch from SU which was a perfect fit.

You certainly will want to check out each of the designers below for their wonderful creations.

Ciao for now,
