Flourishes Friday Free For All

Hello Friends,

It time for the Friday Free-For-  All at Flourishes.  Today I am using the newly released A Season of Thanks.   This card was both fun and a challenge.

Here is card and you will see what I mean as a challenge.

I wanted to use the new Spellbinder die set, Lattice Rectangles.  I used the largest and second largest dies of the set and cut two of each, one in Sahara Sand and one in Flourishes Classic White.  The next was a piece of vellum that I embossed with a Cuttlebug folder (Swiss Dots).  Another piece of Sahara Sand, stamped my image for A Season of Thanks with Versamark and heat embossed with white detail powder.  I assembled the face of the card and attached the Kaiser pearls at each intersection.  The sentiment was cut using the Spellbinder , Ribbon Banners.

Once the card face was made my dilemma was how to achieve the look of both the front and back matching without weaving a ribbon or making a solid card.  So here is what I came up with…Clear Cardstock!  I cut  the Clear Cardstock to the size I needed, attached it with Scor -Tape, placing both of the Sahara Sand to the front and back of the card.  Then the second white die cut was attached to the inside of the card to hide my mechanics.

Here is my side view of this card and while the photo is fuzzy you can see the card appears to stand on its own–I feel like saying “look Mom no hands!”  LOL

Oh, I almost forgot.  There is a tiny flaw on the face of my card.  Can you see it?  If you think you found it, tell me what you think it is,  It your answer is correct I will put your name in the hat for a goodie bag of things from Flourishes.  I will announce the winner and what the flaw is on Sunday’s post.

The rest of the team also have wonderful cards for today’s post, so here is the list so you can visit them all.

Remember that the Release bundle ends soon, and you still have time to take advantage of the discount.  If you were a customer that had shipping charge shock, go back and revisit your order…the corrections to the faux pas has been corrected.

Thanks so much for stopping in today.   I just love that you came my way!

 Ciao,
