Hello Friends,

Welcome to the last day of our release.  I just love each of the new releases.  Today’s stamp set is penned by Marcella Hawley.   He Is Risen, is a faith-based Easter theme set.  It is beautiful.  It has a central focus of a gorgeous cross with a glorious spray of lilies and smaller flowers.  A single lily is another image and there are five sentiments.  All this beauty is clustered in a 4″x6″ polymer set.  Here is the sneak:

I wanted to make a special card for this set.  I wanted it to feel like a breath of sunshine and celebrate the Pascal celebration.  I am happy with the results, I hope you like it as well.

The base of my card is a  is a lilac card stock, layered with a very soft yellow cardstock then an overlay of vellum that was embossed with a embossing folder, Hedged Maze, by Couture Creations.  The results from these folders are deep embossing that really stand out on a card.  The same two  colors were layered but in the reverse for the next layer.  The cross was stamped onto Flourishes Classic White paper, cut and embossed with Spellbinder die Deckled Edges Rectangle.  I colored it with the following Flourishes Copic Collections

The extra details are a strip of  White Scalloped Lace Trim , topped with a scalloped strip of yellow cardstock  that was cut using Spellbinder Edgeablities, E8 ,Classic Scallop.  I wove a beautiful Lilac May Arts ribbon through the holes.  Kaiser pearls were added and my creations was complete.  That was so simple.  I just love it when my plan work out in real life.  So often my cards evolve and become their own identity, no matter what my intentions were at the start.
